You will obtain 28 professional development hours by attending this 4-day course. If you require 35 hours of professional development
training in order to satisfy the eligibility requirements for the CBAP® application, you can attain the remaining hours by completing six exercises provided in a
supplementary student workbook. If you are interested in attaining the 7 extra professional development hours for this course, please inform your instructor who will
provide further instructions for attaining these hours.
Please note, this is a highly interactive workshop. Your participation is essential to leveraging the full benefits of this event. Because of the interactive nature, a headset and web cam are required. If you are uncomfortable speaking with others around you, we recommend that you find a private place in your home or office to sit while going through the experience. The success of this workshop, both for you and for your classmates, depends on open communication and visual participation.
Important Information on Headsets: Please note that open microphones, like the ones available on most laptops, are NOT allowed to be used during class because they create an audio reverberation in the classroom environment.
To ensure your success in this course you should have some foundational education or experience in cybersecurity as well as general information technology. Auditing or assessment experience is also helpful.
Course-Specific Technical Requirements
To perform the scripted activities in this course you will need a computer with standard desktop productivity tools, including Microsoft Excel or compatible spreadsheet software, a PDF reader, and an image viewer for JPG and PNG files.
When the official CMMAC CP certification exam is released, the New Horizons course will be updated to map to the CMMAC CP exam and CMMC model at the time of release. This course will be considered authorized by the CMMC-Accreditation Body as soon as Licensed Training Provider status is granted by the CMMC Accreditation Body (a designation New Horizons expects to receive as soon as LTP status begins to be granted, sometime after the CMMAC CP certification exam is released)
